This is a space for providing general project information and updates. If information does not fit with the tasks noted above, this is the place to put it.

We wish you all a very warm welcome to the Bamumbu village. We invite you all to join our village as a regular volunteer. Please take a few moments to introduce yourself and read about the other volunteers to our project. We are grateful for your interest in our community and eager to get to know you better. We look forward to joining hands with all of you as the project moves forward toward completion.

The primary school in Jinkfuin is in need of more books to lend to the students. Story books that the students can borrow and read as well as textbooks covering topics such as history, geography and science would all benefit the school very much. While some English and Math books have already been donated, additional books in these topic areas would also be a great help due to the increasing population of students.

Bitame Lucia Nursery School serves a large number of students and it is estimated that around 13 classrooms are needed to adequately support the growing population. CAPEC has recently received a donation of 1500 Euro to support the school. This is enough to put up a very basic wooden classroom minus the blocks necessary for completion.

For this task, we are seeking information on potential funding organizations as well as prospective partners whom we might approach about partnering with CAPEC to support the construction and development of the school.

Another area that CAPEC is considering for income-generation on Bitame Lucia Nursery School grounds is poultry farming. This is again something that many villages at Nabuur have incorporated into their projects. For this task, we are seeking examples of successful poultry farming techniques and best practices. We plan to use this information to write up a basic project plan, so please summarize your findings.

The hope is that income generated from this and the other projects will support building a proper toilet and a playground to improve the school grounds.

Another income-generation activity being considered by the school is establishing a school garden to support vegetable cultivation. The school grounds have a sufficient amount of land to support this and CAPEC hopes to teach the children successful farming techniques that they can then incorporate at home.

There are multiple projects working on this very thing throughout Nabuur and online. Can you help us find good examples and draw from the experience of others? If anyone has an example project plan, we would be very grateful if you would share it with us.

We need a volunteer who can create a sponsorship plan for the children in Bugembe.
